Kundalini Yoga Practitioner
Training: Kundalini Teacher 200 RYT
Arista is currently a Waldorf early childhood educator at a small and precious school located on a Permaculture farm here on Maui. She is also involved with the Maui Access to Mindful Movement nonprofit facilitating a program of nature integration, field study, and mindfulness for children. She received her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Santa Cruz in 2016 while working at a non-profit residential adult mental health facility. After her chapter in Santa Cruz, California Arista traveled through Europe for 2 years working and volunteering on organic, biodynamic, and permaculture farms in various countries. Through this process, she began to foster a deep spiritual relationship with the natural world through prayer, service, and community engagement. She has participated in various retreats, workshops, and therapeutic processes with individual mentors and in group settings. Arista completed her trauma-informed Kundalini teacher training in 2025 through Yoga Farm Ithaca which also encompassed training on the decolonization of yoga and inclusive teaching principles to suit all bodies. She is especially passionate about subtle energy work, breath work, and mantra. It was through her own personal experience of the potency of Kundalini Yoga through addiction recovery that inspired her to pursue her practice further, to continue down the ever-unfurling process of self-discovery, and to share the benefits of this practice within our beloved community.
